Pragmatic Design's mobile website launched

Pragmatic Design is proud to announce the launch of a mobile phone optimised version of their website.

The website is based on Pragmatic Design's current website (rebranded and relaunched in November), but has been rewritten to allow for fast loading over a low-bandwidth network, a narrow screen width, and the use of fingers rather than a mouse pointer.

Text based content across the two versions is the same- visitors to the website will not miss any content, regardless of how they access it. Larger images are automatically omitted, and others are automatically downscaled for the smaller screen. Visitors accessing Pragmatic Design's website from a mobile device are also given the option to view the "big screen" website at any time.

Website administration is handled by an advanced, easy to use content management system (CMS), with no additional administration required for the mobile phone content as the content and structure is automatically applied to both websites.

"With so many iPhone's, iPod's, Blackberry's, mobile phones etc being used to access websites, it's important that every business caters for all of their visitors. If your web site design makes it difficult, or even impossible, for potential customers to view your website in the manner that they choose, you will lose their business." explained Pragmatic Design's John-Lee Langford. "We tested the website across a number of devices to ensure compatibility. We even tested it on a Kindle [ebook reader]! We're very pleased with the results."
